Happy Holidays friends!! …with Christmas in less then 6 days and parties and play dates and puppy gifting on your mind, we thought we would give you a variety of delicious options for dog inspired holiday treats… Each of these has been tried and tested in the DoggyBnB kitchen (whatever we like to bake) but if you love them as much as we do, be sure to follow or give a shout out to our friends that inspired them.

Homemade Gingerbread Dog Treats

Glad you asked….These mouthwatering gingerbread cookies are made with real ginger and are ideal for settling your poochy pals stomach during long car rides to grandma’s house or wherever you spend the holidays. All the ingredients are pet safe and can be modified to be gluten free by substituting brown rice, coconut, almond, or oat flour in place of whole wheat. Shape these in the form of gingerbread men or bones and drip carob on top and voila….doggy heaven.

Puppermint Dog Treats

Not being able to share these tasty treats with her dog Coco seems like a drag  which inspired her to create these little “Puppermint Dog Treats” (cute word play Sarah!) for her to enjoy.  The benefits to your dog are perfect….grain free, packed with organic nutritious ingredients, and will also give her fresh minty breath.

Perfectly dog friendly and healthy, these mint flavored mini bones are made with applesauce, and, in addition to being tasty, the mint aids digestion and helps to control bad dog breath. Bag some up in a clear cellophane treat bag with a ribbon to gift to your grand-dogs, or the pups of your friends.


Doggy Candy Canes

With the right touch of creativity and TLC, they will show your friend and their pooch that you really care. According to Ali, don’t be intimidated by the number of steps. Its super easy and fun to do with a friend. Her best piece of advice: When twisting the strips together, hold a strip in each hand and then twist them together in the air letting gravity do all the work. You CANE do it!


Homemade Peanut Butter and Banana Dog Treats 


This last recipe is brought to us by Whole Foods, stocked with a secret ingredient of parsely to improve your furry friends bad breath, you can substitute dried for half of the parsley to add to the festivities if you’d like. Be creative and feel free to adjust the size of the treats accordingly for the small or large dogs you are making them for and you’ll be on your way.
