Doggy Blogger, Felissa Elfenbein ofTwo Little Cavaliers, Twitter: Felissahadas delivers us homemade gingerbread dog treats that are purrrrrrrrfect for the holidays….How so? Glad you asked….These mouthwatering gingerbread cookies are made with real ginger and are ideal for settling your poochy pals stomach during long car rides to grandma’s house or wherever you spend the holidays. All the ingredients are pet safe and can be modified to be gluten free by substituting brown rice, coconut, almond, or oat flour in place of whole wheat. According to Sarah Dickerson of Pretty Fluffy, twitter: @chicsprinkles, to her one of the most magical parts of the holiday season is enjoying the delightfulness of peppermint goodies . Not being able to share these tasty treats with her dog Coco seems like a drag which inspired her to create these little “Puppermint Dog Treats” (cute word play Sarah!) for her to enjoy. The benefits to your dog are perfect….grain free, packed with organic nutritious ingredients, and will also give her fresh minty breath.
Retired pet treat baker Linda Brinsler of Best-Dog-Treat-Recipes.com, twitter: @dogtreatbaker, shares with us Apple Mint Chistmas Bones that are simple to mix and bake, and they make great gifts for the dogs in your life. Perfectly dog friendly and healthy, these mint flavored mini bones are made with applesauce, and, in addition to being tasty, the mint aids digestion and helps to control bad dog breath. Bag some up in a clear cellophane treat bag with a ribbon to gift to your grand-dogs, or the pups of your friends.
